Iron Sky

We watched Iron Sky last night.

Such a great movie. I especially enjoyed the zeppelin-shaped carriers and the extreme clunkiness of the Götterdämmerung. Dieselpunk for the win. ^.^
And so many great uniforms. 

And the invading nazi-UFOs are called Walkyr. *grins*

I’m impressed how they managed to take a concept like Nazis from the Moon, just run with it and then create a movie like this. And I’m equally impressed with the fact that they got away with some of the content. They had a go at Sarah Palin as president, Americans, North Korea (“Our great leader designed and built these UFOs himself” said by the North Korean UN representative), Apple and far, far more than just those.

So if you get a chance to do so, go watch it!

And now I shall go and admire my Iron Sky war bond, while I wait for the DVD to come out.
